The sounds of Italian based drum & bass record label Delta9 Recordings have infiltrated club spaces; since its launch, it has let loose several impressive tracks and these have helped to create its now impenetrable reputation. Whether it’s names which hold a titanic weight or those that are only just beginning to build their sonic weaponry, Delta9 Recordings doesn’t discriminate when it comes to welcoming producers into their roster. And from the beginning they’ve ensured a workflow which has maintained their position on the map, something which can be seen through how pervasive their records are throughout the live circuit - there’s not one drum & bass night which doesn’t feature a cut from Delta9 Recordings.

For their next release they’re focusing on the more emerging talent that comes through their ranks. One of these artists is Extraction!

Hailing from Bristol, his releases on the likes of Lost the Plot and collaboration tunes on C.I.A., Lifestyle and Delta9 Recordings have made him a fan favourite, something which can be seen through a crowd’s reaction to his music. His forthcoming EP ‘All About’ not only pedestals cuts from himself, but it also brings to you a huge remix of Synth Ethics' timeless tune "Flash Crash" and a banging collab with his Bristol based friend and producer Jestah.

First on the track list is ‘Nausea’, an upfront anthem which boasts a danceability not many hard-driving slammers can match. If it’s your first introduction to Extraction, it’s certainly a baptism into deepness, with an underpinning of futuristic melodies. ‘About Time’ follows suit and it’s just as dynamic, taking you alongside a whirlwind of flipping kick drums and rolling atmospherics. Finally, Extraction and Jestah join forces on ‘Covert’, oozing with Bristolian vibes through a hard hitting lens, with its gritty bass patches and cranking drum sequences. Like Extraction, Jestah is making his own place within the newcomer streams of drum & bass and he is not new into the Delta9 Recordings roster. Ending another strong EP from Delta9 Recordings, the remix of Synth Ethics' flash crash is an energy wave which will hit hard at the first listen.
